Carl P. DeLuca, Esq. is a lawyer with 35 years experience practicing law. He graduated from Moses Brown School in 1978. He received his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University in 1985. In that year, he began practicing with his late uncle, Ralph C. DeLuca.
Attorney DeLuca is a personal injury attorney litigating sexual abuse cases, car and motorcycle injury cases and medical malpractice cases, as well as a divorce lawyer and bankruptcy attorney.
- In the late 1990’s and early 2000’s Carl P. DeLuca settled over 70 clergy sexual abuse cases for nearly $20 million, nearly $15 million in 2002 alone.
- In 2004 he prevailed in the Rhode Island Supreme Court when the defendant in a Grandparent Termination and Adoption case appealed to the Court and the Rhode Island Supreme Court ruled that Grandparent Termination and Adoptions were allowable under state law as argued by Attorney DeLuca.
- Carl P. DeLuca also convinced the Rhode Island Supreme Court, in 2005, that photographs of damage to the vehicles involved in a motor vehicle accident may be used as evidence of speed without the testimony of an expert.
